How to make the most out of business travel

Since I am travelling for work quite often. I thought I would write something about how to combine your work travel with some fun while you are at it. I love to do a little exploring before or after working hours. Below some tips on how to get the most out of those business trips.

1. Before you go look online for fun things to do near the place / office / conference hall you are going to. There are some really good travel blogs who have the best tips. You can also play Instagram detective and find out where your fave Insta bloggers go to. Skip the hotel breakfast and find a cute breakfast place instead.

2. Download an offline Google map on your phone of the city you are visiting and start dropping pins on the map of the places you are interested in going to. It makes it so much easier roaming the city when you get there and you don’t have to use up all your data for Google maps.

3. Bring your work out gear. Exploring the city while running and getting your work out done is a great way to do some sightseeing and clearing your mind before a busy day of meetings. I did a great little run across Paris and London.

4. Rent a bike to transport yourself around the city instead of taxi’s and metro’s. If you have to sit still all day this can be a great way to get some exercise in those busy days and sightseeing at the same time.
